TENETS OF OUR FAITH<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. The Holy Scriptures<\/strong>\u00a02 Timothy 3:16-17<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the Bible is inspired by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. The Eternal Godhead<\/strong>\u00a01 John 5:7<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that God is triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/em>\u00a0The Fall of Man<\/strong>\u00a0Romans\u00a05:12<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that man was created in the image of God but that by voluntary disobedience and transgression he fell from perfection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.\u00a0The Plan of Redemption<\/strong>\u00a0John 3:16<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that while we are yet sinners Christ died for us, saving those who believe on Him from condemnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.\u00a0Salvation through Grace\u00a0<\/strong>Ephesians<\/strong>\u00a02:8<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace; that we have no righteousness of our own and must come to God pleading the merits and righteousness of Christ the Saviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.<\/em>\u00a0Repentance and Acceptance<\/strong>\u00a01 John 1:9<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that upon sincere repentance and a whole hearted acceptance of Christ we are justified before God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.\u00a0The New Birth<\/strong>\u00a0John 3:3<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.<\/em>\u00a0Daily Christian Life<\/strong>\u00a0Hebrews<\/strong>\u00a06:1<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily, growing constantly stronger in the faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.<\/em>\u00a0Water Baptism and the Lord\u2019s Supper\u00a0<\/strong>Mathew<\/strong>\u00a028:19, 1 Corinthians 11:28<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that water baptism by immersion is a blessed outward sign of an inward work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe in the commemoration and observance of the Lord\u2019s Supper by the use of the broken bread, a type of Christ\u2019s body which was broken for us and by the juice of the vine, which reminds of the shed blood of the Saviour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.\u00a0The Baptism of the Holy Spirit<\/strong>\u00a0Acts 2:4<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit endues the believer with power from on high and that His incoming is the same as in Bible days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11.\u00a0The Spirit-Filled Life<\/strong>\u00a0Galatians\u00a05:15, 25<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that it is the will of God that we live and walk in the Spirit daily<\/p>\n\n\n\n

12.\u00a0The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit<\/strong>\u00a01 Corinthians 12:1 -11, Galatians 5:22<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the Holy Spirit may bestow upon the believer the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues and\/or interpretation of tongues; and that the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance) is evidence of a Spirit-filled life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

13.\u00a0Moderation<\/strong>\u00a0Philippians 4:5<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the moderation of the believer should be known of all men; that his experience and daily walk should never lead him into extremes of fanaticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14.\u00a0Divine Healing<\/strong>\u00a0James 5: 14-16<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that divine healing is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith<\/p>\n\n\n\n

15.\u00a0The Second Coming of Christ<\/strong>\u00a01 Thessalonians 4: 16-17<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent<\/p>\n\n\n\n

16.<\/em>\u00a0Church Relationship<\/strong>\u00a0Acts 16:5<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that having been born into the family and invisible body or Church of the Lord, it is the duty of the believer, whenever this lies within his power, to identify himself with the visible church of Christ upon the earth; and that such visible church is a congregation of fellow believers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17.<\/em>\u00a0Civil Government<\/strong>\u00a0Romans 13:1 -5<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the civil government is of divine appointment, for the interests and good order of human society and that rulers should be upheld at all times except in things opposed to the will of God<\/p>\n\n\n\n

18.<\/em>\u00a0Judgement<\/strong>\u00a02 Corinthians 5:10<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that all will be judged one day before God and receive either eternal life or death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19.<\/em>\u00a0Heaven<\/strong>\u00a01 Corinthians 2:9<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that Heaven s the glorious habitation of the living God and that His Son Jesus has gone ahead to prepare a place for those who believe in Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20.<\/em>\u00a0Hell<\/strong>\u00a0Revelation 20:10, 15<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that Hell is a place of suffering and torment made for the devil and his angels. It is where the unbeliever goes until both are cast into the Lake of Fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21.<\/em>\u00a0Evangelism<\/strong>\u00a0James 5:20<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that bringing unbelievers to a saving knowledge of Christ should be the church\u2019s primary concern in this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

22.<\/em>\u00a0Tithing and Offerings<\/strong>\u00a0Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 9:7<\/mark><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We believe that tithing or the giving of ten percent of one\u2019s income will be blessed and honoured by God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
